Job Summary: We are looking for a Credit Controller who will be responsible for managing the credit control function of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. The Credit Controller will play a key role in minimizing credit risk, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring timely payment from customers. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage the company's accounts receivable portfolio, including conducting credit checks on new customers and assessing creditworthiness. • Establish and maintain credit limits for customers based on risk assessment and company policies. • Proactively contact customers to ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up on overdue accounts. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms. • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to address customer queries and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Review and update credit control policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Prepare and analyze aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports to assess credit risk exposure and identify areas for improvement. • Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements with customers as needed, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. • Monitor and report on key credit metrics, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), bad debt provision, and collection efficiency. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and collection activities using the company's ERP system or other tools. Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role, preferably in [industry]. • Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and best practices. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with credit management software is a plus. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to credit management.
