Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating software development projects ensuring they are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to define project goals scope and timelines as well as managing risks budgets and resources. They must balance competing demands and manage complex projects while also ensuring that team members are motivated engaged and productive.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders including functional requirements timelines and budgets.
2. Develop project plans and timelines monitor progress against established milestones and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
3. Develop and maintain project documentation including project charter project plans status reports communication plan and risk management plan.
4. Identify and manage project risks proactively developing contingency plans to mitigate project risks.
5. Monitor and report on project status risks and issues escalating concerns when necessary.
6. Create a risk management plan/register at the start of the project and maintain the risk management plan throughout the project.
7. Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders providing updates on progress risks and issues and managing stakeholder expectations.
8. Create a communication plan at the start of the project and execute throughout the project.
9. Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards including conducting quality assurance reviews and testing.
10. Coordinate project activities across departments and teams including development QA and product management ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
11. Manage project budgets by tracking hours spent and ensuring its within budget limits.
