Key Responsibilities:
Monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
Configure and implement security tools and software.
Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
Respond to all system and/or network security breaches.
Ensure that the organization s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
Participate in the change management process.
Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities.
Daily administrative tasks reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
Develop companywide best practices for IT security.
Perform penetration testing.
Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
Stay uptodate on information technology trends and security standards.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
Understanding of firewalls proxies SIEM antivirus and IDPS concepts.
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
Strong understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python Java C) is often preferred.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
