The Technical Lead/Solutions Architect is a cornerstone in our Digital Architecture Delivery team bringing the latest technical thought leadership and architecture/design skills to lead cuttingedge solution design/development to align with business objectives. In this pivotal role youll evaluate and advocate for innovative platforms and products designing scalable and robust architectural patterns. Your remit includes optimizing cloud efficiency ensuring system reliability and establishing best practices across development teams. You will partner with internal and external teams ensuring seamless integration of DevSecOps practices and managing the full lifecycle of our technological solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and deliverables that meet individual business unit requirements as well as enterprise requirements.
- The support project team works with the business team to identify and document NFRs for system performance security scalability and data privacy as well as various other dimensions of NFRs.
- Support team members in developing and maintaining the technology roadmap and portfolio landscape documents for one or more portfolios to guide longterm technology investments and decisions.
- Evaluate technology platforms and products and make recommendations that align with business goals and enterprise/portfolio technical direction. Evaluation could potentially include RFI/RFP running handson or vendorled POC efforts assessing the solutions fit within our technology landscape & meeting functional / nonfunctional requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Solution architecture documents (SADs) ensuring they are updated with the latest changes as the project progresses sprint by sprint.
- Design solutions for NFRs and other key concerns such as technical maintainability operational reliability crossregion disaster recoverability and costeffectiveness.
- Recommend and design cloudnative and/or hybrid solutions with a specific focus on securing access to the applications user interfaces APIs and infrastructure using technologies such as OAuth SAML AWS IAM rolebased access control etc.
- Recommend and design integrations between cloudnative and hybrid systems using appropriate enterprise integration patterns and best practices accounting for security performance and other nonfunctional requirements.
- Recommend and design cloudnative and/or hybrid infrastructure solutions with specific considerations on compute load balancing HA/DR & storage architectures for highvolume web apps. Proficient in designing AWSspecific infrastructure solutions using a wide range of services including Route 53 CloudFront WAF API Gateway Lambda ECS EKS S3 RDS DynamoDB ELB VPC IAM CloudWatch Amazon Connect SQS etc.
- Support the lifecycle of Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) Design Review Boards (DzRB) and Security Review Boards by preparing and presenting technical materials necessary for various technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Incorporate enterprise direction such as API first / Cloud first architecture and software design/development principles such as SOLID 12factor design in supporting project team create a detailed technical design for projects working closely with technology managers/project managers development scrum teams and crossfunctional architects/SMEs.
- Provide developmental oversight and technical guidance to the dev teams during project implementation phases including making technology selections and adhering to industry best practices and guidelines and standards.
- Innovate and design for enterpriselevel and portfoliolevel reusable.
