Our Client is an Infrastructural company that offers construction traffic solutions and procurement services to both public and private clients. Due to expansion they are currently in need of a WORKSHOP MANAGER.
Job Location: Zamfara
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising a team of mechanics and technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing construction equipment such as excavators bulldozers cranes caterpillars trucks etc
- Developing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to keep equipment in optimal condition
- Inventory and Parts Management
- Managing inventory of spare parts tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Ordering and tracking spare parts and ensuring their availability when required.
- Team Management
- Hiring training and supervising workshop staff ensuring they follow safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Assigning tasks. Scheduling work and monitoring the performance of mechanics and technicians.
- Quality Control
- Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks to maintain the reliability and safety of equipment.
- Budget and Cost Management
- Managing the workshop s budget controlling expenses and optimizing costeffective maintenance solutions.
- Tracking expenditures related to maintenance and repairs. Safety and Compliance
- Enforcing safety regulations and practices to create a safe working environment.
- Conducting safety inspections addressing safety concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Equipment Troubleshooting
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with construction equipment and Conducting safety inspections addressing safety concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent in a relevant field eg (automotive technology mechanical engineering )
- Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Previous experience in a workshop or maintenance role is a must.
- Strong technical knowledge in fixing/repairing of plants and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in computer software for documentation and reporting and diagnostic machines to diagnose faults in equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
