Our Client is an Infrastructural company that offers construction traffic solutions and procurement services to both public and private clients. Due to expansion they are currently in need of a WORKSHOP MANAGER.

Job Location: Zamfara

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervising a team of mechanics and technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing construction equipment such as excavators bulldozers cranes caterpillars trucks etc
  • Developing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to keep equipment in optimal condition
  • Inventory and Parts Management
  • Managing inventory of spare parts tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ordering and tracking spare parts and ensuring their availability when required.
  • Team Management
  • Hiring training and supervising workshop staff ensuring they follow safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Assigning tasks. Scheduling work and monitoring the performance of mechanics and technicians.
  • Quality Control
  • Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks to maintain the reliability and safety of equipment.
  • Budget and Cost Management
  • Managing the workshop s budget controlling expenses and optimizing costeffective maintenance solutions.
  • Tracking expenditures related to maintenance and repairs. Safety and Compliance
  • Enforcing safety regulations and practices to create a safe working environment.
  • Conducting safety inspections addressing safety concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with construction equipment and Conducting safety inspections addressing safety concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent in a relevant field eg (automotive technology mechanical engineering )
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Previous experience in a workshop or maintenance role is a must.
  • Strong technical knowledge in fixing/repairing of plants and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficiency in computer software for documentation and reporting and diagnostic machines to diagnose faults in equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
  • Effective budget planning and maintenance skills.
  • Strong leadership supervisory coaching and people management skills
