Our client is a leading ownership company with mixed fleet of vessels. To support and lead the technical team in the marine technical and safety aspects of fleet management the client is looking hire :


Fleet Manager Tanker Operations

(Based in Singapore)


ORGANIZATION

As the Fleet Manager you will be responsible for planning organizing and monitoring the efficient resource management of all department superintendents and operation assistants/executives. You will promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement to achieve organizational objectives while maintaining harmonious working relationships among team members and colleagues.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Marine Technical and Safety Operations: Be at the forefront of overseeing the Marine Technical and Safety operations of our fleet. This includes planning organizing and monitoring the efficient resource management of all departments superintendents and operation assistants/executives.


Manage Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Play a crucial role in preparing the annual fleet operating budgets with inputs from all the Marine/Technical Superintendents. Additionally you will monitor the expenditure against the budget explaining variances in the monthly report to the Senior Management with contributions from the Superintendents.


Oversee Maintenance Programs and Audits: Plan coordinate and implement a systematic Planned Maintenance Program will be part of your responsibilities. You will also oversee internal and external audits and reviews of ISM ISPS and ISO with the assistance of the Team Lead in the Safety & Training Department.


Coordinate with Stakeholders and Regulatory Bodies: Be the point of contact for coordinating with the Company s insurance section for claim settlement with the respective superintendents. You will also attend to casualty incident personnel accident investigation and reporting ensuring compliance with the various regulations.


Drive Continuous Improvement and Compliance: Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement will be a key aspect of your role. You will be responsible for maintaining a harmonious working relationship among team members and colleagues while ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.



Requirements

  • You must be a qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent diploma holder in marine/navigation.
  • Preferably have 510 years relevant shorebased experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Superintendent managing Tanker Vessels (Chemical & Oil).
  • Experience sailing on Tanker Vessels at a Chief Engineer is a must.
  • Experience in managing dry docking at shipyards is advantageous.
  • Business acumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.
  • People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard and shored based teams.
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
  • Must have strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • A skilled organizer and communicator at all levels.
  • Committed to stringent quality and cost control.
