The role

As a Software Engineer you will join Viaplay with the mission of bringing the best user experience to our customers by being part of the Payments team. This team is responsible for integrating with payment providers and developing new payment features which are crucial to the success of the company.

You will join a crossfunctional team and deliver engineering solutions aligned with technical and product longterm visions. The team delivers clear goals based on our customer journey and is fully autonomous in how to create the best solutions to reach their goals. In other words if you are into working innovatively and collaboratively we have an offer you cant refuse!

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• Building solid and highperforming microservices in Node.js.
• Microservice/Serverless architecture.
• Using multiple programming paradigms and languages.
• Flexible production environment supported by Docker hosted in the AWS.
• An agile development process where we promote pair/mob programming.
• Improving our product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data.

What were looking for

We are looking for motivated developers with enthusiasm for software development and an interest to constantly improve your skills. You have worked with a variety of tasks requiring complex problem solving using Javascript. If you also have an interest in multiple programming languages you will fit right in!

Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:

• Solid work life experience developing webbased services using Node.js.
• Good understanding of REST API
• Understanding of test or behaviordriven development (TDD/BDD) including supporting frameworks
• Experience in developing services in AWS
• An interest and motivation to work with modern frameworks
  

Its a bonus if you have:

Experience working with a stateless and high transactional enduser product.

Experience of working with PHP Java or Rust.
