• Unit Capacity: 34 Beds Population Served: Post Op Surgical Spine Patients as well as Medical/Surgical Overflow Ages of Patients Served: Adolescent through Late Adult (14 60) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Nurse Interns (NIs). Roles and amp; Responsibilities

Job Summary:

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for wellcoordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Complexity of Work:

• Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
