Senior Web Application Developer Sydney/Melbourne/Adelaide/ Brisbane/Tasmania/Perth/Darwin

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Applications Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of complex datadriven web applications ensuring they perform with integrity efficiency and reliability. The role requires expertise in a range of technical skills including Linux administration PHP development database management and version control systems. Additionally the candidate should possess strong communication organizational and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of complex datadriven web applications to meet project requirements.
2. Utilize expert knowledge of Linux administration Ansible PHP (especially Laravel) and MySQL/PostgreSQL/PostGIS to develop robust web applications.
3. Collaborate with technical teams to gather requirements document solution specifications and write functional requirements.
4. Manage project scoping planning and execution ensuring timely delivery of highquality outcomes.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript as well as experience with frontend libraries like Bootstrap and Vue.js.
6. Work with geospatial data and implement and consume APIs and web services as required.
7. Utilize Atlassian products (Jira Confluence Bitbucket) for project management and collaboration.
8. Maintain effective communication channels both written and verbal to ensure clear understanding and alignment with project objectives.
9. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology or relevant field or extensive experience and management expertise.
2. Demonstrated expertise in leading the design and development of complex datadriven web applications.
3. Expert knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) administration Ansible PHP 8 (Laravel highly regarded) and MySQL/PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
4. Proficiency in version control systems particularly Git.
5. Advanced knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript with experience in frontend libraries (Bootstrap Vue.js) preferred.
6. Experience with Atlassian products (Jira Confluence Bitbucket) and geospatial data management.
7. Familiarity with Python and experience implementing and consuming APIs and web services.
8. Strong business analysis skills including requirement gathering and solution specification documentation.
9. Demonstrated project management skills including scoping planning and team management.
10. Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills.
