Overview: We are seeking an Application Developer (CRL) who will play a key role in the design development integration testing and deployment of a modernized BMF platform. Additionally you will provide essential support for daytoday Operations & Maintenance (O&M) tasks based on IRS priorities. US Citizenship is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance in the design development integration testing and deployment of a modernized BMF platform.
• Support daytoday Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work aligned with IRS priorities.
• Manage project management tasks O&M activities development modernization enhancements software development legislative changes and developmental O&M upgrades.
• Utilize expertise in IBM z/OS assembly language for legacy code business rules extraction and code conversion.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure successful implementation of modernization efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
• Indepth knowledge of IBM z/OS assembly language including understanding assembly instructions addressing modes data manipulation techniques and job control processing.
• Experience with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL) QSAM Data Formats.
• Experience with IRS Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) tool including version control release management security and access control and integration with other development tools.
• Knowledge of BMC ControlM specifically with respect to automating job scheduling managing workflows and monitoring job execution.
• Familiarity with IBM mainframe architecture including concepts like storage hierarchy (registers memory I/O) system calls (SVCs) and interrupt handling mechanisms.
• Indepth knowledge of legacy mainframe data formats including experience with DB2 QSAM VSAM data formats.
• Understanding of target Java code with the ability to translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops conditional statements functions and objectoriented design patterns.
• Active IRS MBI Clearance highly desirable.
