Job Description:
As a Logistics Executive at Laxmi Electronics you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the logistics and supply chain operations of our company. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods as well as handling customs clearance processes. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of freight forwarding and customs clearance procedures excellent communication skills in English Kannada and Hindi and proficiency in email communication and Microsoft Office tools.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to our warehouse facilities and from warehouses to customers locations.
2. Liaise with freight forwarders shipping companies and transport providers to arrange shipments ensuring timely delivery and costeffectiveness.
3. Assist in customs clearance processes including preparing and submitting required documentation and coordinating with customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
4. Maintain accurate records of shipments including tracking information customs documents and delivery schedules.
5. Communicate effectively with internal teams suppliers and customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
6. Prepare and maintain logistics reports and documentation including transportation cost analysis inventory reports and performance metrics.
7. Coordinate with warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure proper storage and handling of goods and optimize inventory levels.
8. Provide support in procurement activities including sourcing suppliers obtaining quotations and negotiating terms and conditions.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics business administration or a related field.
2. Basic knowledge of freight forwarding and customs clearance procedures.
3. Excellent communication skills in English Kannada and Hindi both verbal and written.
4. Proficiency in email communication and Microsoft Office tools including Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
7. Problemsolving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes is a plus.
9. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to meet deadlines or handle urgent shipments.
10. Positive attitude adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.
