The role will be part of a hybrid team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers and will contribute directly to the delivery of the Institutional Data & Analytics product roadmap. This is the perfect role for an entry/midlevel Frontend Engineer who is excited to apply their technical skills to develop our datadriven web application on Google Cloud Platform with a focus on accessibility and usability. If you are passionate about building customer focused solutions using best practice approach and the latest frontend technology this role is for you.
What does a day in the life look like:
Work with Data Scientists Business Analysts and Product Owners to deliver data insight apps to customers.
Liaise with business stakeholders and customers to workshop solutions.
Utilizes tools and best practices to build verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways.
Follow the best practices around reviews security quality assurance and documentation.
Follow continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed.
Provide ongoing support for platforms as required i.e. incident and problem management.
Support delivery of key analytic initiatives
Collaborate with other teams to explore new business initiatives.
What will likely be in your toolkit
Good understanding of UX/UI and accessibility best practices
Good understanding of modern frontend architectures and design patterns (e.g. microfrontend webpack module federation)
Strong JavaScript HTML5 and CSS development skill
Demonstrated experience in frontend development (preferably React)
Ability to innovate and adapt to the latest development in software engineering.
Excellent Git source control skills
Creative technical problem solving and excellent debugging skills.
