Our client is looking for a Certified Journeyman to join their team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation and wiring of transformers trouble shooting pulling cable construction work utilizing power tools equipment operation. Installs pull boxes conduit poles and foundations.
- Measures cuts bends threads assembles and installs electrical conduit splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
- Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments relocation or replacement.
- Completes reports logs and performs shifttoshift communications in accordance with established policies procedures and local practices.
- Work with technical team on advanced and intermittent technical issues.
- Produce quality work that meets or exceeds National Electric Code requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid California State Certified General Electrician Card
- 3 years industrial commercial and institutional electrical experience
- High school diploma or GED additional education a plus.
- Applicant must possess valid CA driver’s license and be able to meet driving requirements CDL Class B license preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Required to stand; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl and talk or hear.
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and moving traffic.
- Occasionally exposed to high precarious places fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
- Comfortable with confined space work.
- Able to work 8 hours per day 40 hours per week overtime and night shifts when required.
