Domestic Relations Legal Administrative Assistant

Hours/Flexible Hours: 95; can be flexible

Expected Overtime: overtime is available and may occur from time to time; overtime eligible after 35 hours a week

RTO (return to office): in office 3 days remote 2

Our client a midsize law firm in Boston is seeking a Domestic Relations Legal Administrative Assistant to deliver quality legal services by providing administrative assistance to our Domestic Relations Practice Group.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills be extremely organized and efficient and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Topnotch computer skills including Outlook and Word are required. This position involves extensive client contact and interaction with family and probate courts.


Responsibilities

  • New client intake: run conflict check open new client matters prepare engagement letter create Outlook contact for all new clients.
  • Manage timekeeper s calendar. Schedule appointments meetings stenographers conference room reservations.
  • Prepare and process client bills using Aderant Expert software. Review edit prepare and proofread prebills and invoices. Ensure client bills are sent out accurately and on time. Maintain updated contacts client/matter and active case lists.
  • Save pleadings to document management system and maintain internal pleadings and discovery books (both paper and electronic). Calendar dates and invite paralegals/attorneys to all scheduled events on case.
  • Answer telephone; screen and process incoming calls.


Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have 3 years of professional experience; display attention to detail; a customer service orientation; ability to work well in teams; a proactive work ethic; and the ability to multitask.
