Artisan Assistant 2

The main responsibility of this position is to assist the Artisans with maintenance manufacturing projects and shutdowns.

Skills :

• Assist with plant equipment maintenance e.g. pump steam lines pneumatic components and machinery
• Assist with installations of new machines and equipment
• Responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant
• Assists Artisans with their duties
• Report any issues or challenges to relevant parties
• Do regular inspection on plant equipment according to checklist and a preventive maintenance plan
• Ensure timeous completion of workorders

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Followup on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
