Reviewing the performance of Editors/Copy Editors, offering feedback,
and presenting progress updates.
Serving as the quality control representative for the journal, ensuring
alignment with established style guidelines.
Verifying factual accuracy when required and discussing any concerns
with the Managing Editor.
Highlighting potential issues related to plagiarism, animal ethics, patient
consent, and the manipulation of figures.
Conducting individual sessions with team members to offer guidance,
ensuring they receive proper training, mentoring, and coaching.
Performing initial and subsequent edits on articles, and evaluating
authors' responses to edits and editorial feedback.
This role is brand new and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
journal editor ready to lead a dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A biomedical science degree and at least one year of editing experience
– Mandatory
Demonstrated expertise in delivering top-tier language and copy edits,
along with a thorough understanding of journal standards and protocols.
Leadership qualities with the drive to inspire and guide a team.
Capability to uphold top-notch standards while adhering to deadlines.
Proficiency in IT, coupled with exceptional communication abilities.
