Urology nurse

A Birmingham area structural engineering firm is currently seeking a talented Project Engineer for their office!

• Assist in project design decisions, such as architectural constraints, load requirements, governing codes, operational constraints, fabrication and erection requirements
• Manage multiple projects of varying size or portions of major projects with minimal supervision
  
• Participate in developing client proposals including preparing scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments
• Build/maintain client relationships throughout development of project and maintain relationship after project is complete
• Mentor junior staff (develop technical skills)
  
• Perform overall design/engineering of structural systems for projects assigned from start to finish
  
• Perform structural calculations and develop appropriate system concepts and layouts
• Prepare contract documents, reports, structural cost estimates, technical specifications and other relevant documents
• Review and upon RFI s, submittals, and other related documents
• Lead team of structural engineers, designers and/or drafters in production of structural construction documents (drawings, specifications, bidding, and construction administration for projects)
  

• degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent), preferred
• 7+ years of related experience
• Michigan ( preferred)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, MathCAD, RISA, RAM, Revit, SAP2000, and Tekla desired
• Familiarity with building codes and AISC Design Manual
• Ability to multi-task with little direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
