We are seeking a Registered Nurse to: Provide care for critically ill newborns, infants and their families across the continuum of care, from admission to discharge. Provide care for infants requiring the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including a wide variety of medical and surgical complexities. Minimum Requirements:Facility Requirement:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile). Experience:Previous NICU experience required. Level 4 NICU experience highly preferred.Experience with feeder/growers, high/flow, NAS, CPAP, Blpap, trachs, intubated patients highly preferred.Minimum one year pediatric experience required - including trach and ventilator experience.Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.Traveler must have successfully completed 13 week travel assignment.Licensure and Certification:Traveler must have Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYPALS - must be certified through American Heart Associate ONLYNRP Education:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.References:Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).TelemetryTraveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date. Floating:Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.Location: American Family Children's' Hospital 1675 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792 Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation.
Shift: 36 hrs/week, Day/Night, (3) 12 hr shifts per week. Will be assigned a combination of days and nights and weekends as required per departmental needs.
