Growing traditional consulting firm looking to add a talented Senior Project Manager to their Des Moines office!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a consulting municipal engineer
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Meet/exceed client expectations and sales goals
- Lead proposal development and interview preparation phases to win key projects
- Create revenue (between $750,000 to $2M annually)
- Deliver quality projects on time and within budget
- Serve as an advisor on complex/strategic projects
- Anticipate project issues and find technical solutions
- Lead development of scope, fee and contract and ensure clients understand project deliverables
- Build/manage Project Plan (phases, tasks, timelines, contingencies, etc.)
- Facilitate meetings
- Manage/mentor junior staff
- Ensure QA/QC processes are followed
- Provide budgetary management/oversight
- Review/analyze financial reports
- Monitor/resolve financial issues (scope creep, cost overruns, additional work, delays)
- Ensure client is billed according to contract schedule
Requirements:
- B.S. in engineering
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- 5+ years of experience working with municipal clients
- PE License
- PMI Certification in Project Management preferred
- Experience working on projects with a design value of $200,000+ with revenue of at least $750,000 per year
- Experience working on projects of various disciplines (roadway, traffic, multi-modal, water/sewer, storm water, etc.)
