Protea Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-known food manufacturer based in Glasgow, looking for a Production Manager.
A full job description will be sent to all qualifying candidates.
Main Features of the Role
Responsible for all operational efficiency, planning, preparation, and final product inspection. Maintain the highest standards of personnel management, hygiene, and safety.

- To operate company procedures in line with BRC standard
Key Tasks
- Main production area kept organised and workflow methods maintained.
- Staff organised and directed to ensure maximum efficiency and zero down time.
- Products sealed continually with resources being allocated to this objective ensuring the production area is kept clear, the products maintain their maximum freshness and the chill stackers receive products as quickly as possible to facilitate their efficiency targets.
- Training of staff in compliance with product worksheets and identifying requirements for retraining.
- Product improvement and development
- Product quality not just in the end product but in the use and handling of the raw material
- Control of the main storage chill, awareness of it contents; stock rotation and continuous identification of possible wastage.
- Labelling of any opened packaging with food product labels.
- Management of stock levels
- Staff changing procedures and hand washing practices. At the beginning and end of shifts and during all breaks.
- Portion control and updating and maintaining of product training sheets
Requirements
- Food Manufacturing Experience is Essential
- UK Rights to work are required as sponsorship is available for this role
