Hausable is a startup at the forefront of edge based smart home technology. Our mission is to make a contribution to the world by developing tools that help users (and only the users) realize the true potential of AI.

We are seeking a nimble Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize work amongst multiple simultaneous projects.

You will perform a combination of hands-on prototyping, PCB design, build documentation, and supplier management. Additionally, you will have ownership of systems/subsystems of Edge AI devices, from initial concept through production and deployment.

A successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and with our multidisciplinary team in a high-growth startup environment. We re looking for someone who will work hard, have fun, and help us make history!

Tasks

  • Perform hands-on prototyping and testing to validate design concepts.
  • Own PCB s, and electrical sub-systems from initial concept through production and deployment, and certification
  • Work on integrating the new Matter communication protocol into our edge AI devices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to engineer robust and reliable solutions.
  • Build/maintain BOMs, SOPs, and other manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

  • Masters in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering(or significant demonstrated project experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design, validation and integration of systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Proficient in a PCB CAD software (Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).
  • Experience taking PCBs and cabling from concept to production.
  • Good understanding of communication protocols like Matter, thread etc
