QA Automation Engineer

AB2 Consulting is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for our client. This person must be self-motivated, Go-getter mindset, inquisitive, and detail-oriented with the ability to achieve deadlines while working effectively within a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce Test Scenarios and Test cases with perfect Traceability of detailed and High-level requirements.
• Able to demonstrate good business knowledge and implement good practices across all phases of SDLC.
• Be an active player in scrum to coordinate with Business in gathering Acceptance criteria during PBR and quality questions on Story Grooming. Validate detailed requirements for testability.
• Must be proficient enough on the usage of JIRA board
• Execute Functional testing on web browsers and mobile devices.
• Good experience on API testing using Katalon.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Katalon, Java scripts as well as the ability to produce modular, re-usable code with high quality.
• Must be strong Test Automation Engineer with Java scripts and able to build the Automation framework suite using Katalon tool and communicate effectively with automation leads when further technical help is required.
• Accurately communicate testing status and escalate issues in a timely manner
• Perform post migration smoke testing
• Accurately assess impact of software defects and lead the sprint team for triage of defects.
• Adhere to IS Department policies best practices.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts for both web-based applications and mobile applications.
• Work successfully within a Kanban/Agile SDLC environment.

Required Experience:

• Overall 9+ years of experience in designing and executing test Scenarios and cases with more than 5 years on web-based applications.
• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Must have working experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• 4+ years of strong experience in writing automation test scripts in Java using Selenium WebDriver and Grid (or) automation test scripts using Apache Groovy (Java platform) on Katalon tool.
• 3+ years of strong experience is building automation frameworks for desktop and mobile web-based applications.
• Strong experience in using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Test NG, JIRA, IDEs like Eclipse or Intellij Idea.
• Well versed with version control tools like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.
• Experience in automating tests to run in parallel using TestNG.
• Experience in creating automation test reports using log4j and Extended reports.
• Experience in Performance Testing using JMeter will be Preferred.
• Experience with automating RESTful API using Katalon tool.
• Hands on experience with at least one database technology, Oracle, MS SQL Server (or) DB2 and ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Must have experience with the following business domains: Health care, Health Insurance (or) Managed Care, Medical billing claims process in RCM (Revenue Cycle Management). Candidates with Medical Coding and Billing experience is preferred.
