Join the Relieve Consulting Services Canada Inc team today.

We offer a multicultural scope of work within large scale civil work projects; $55.29 CAD per hour salary; and the possibility to grow professionally with our company... The current project for which we are looking a Bridge Technical Lead is located in Windsor (ON), the future employee will have access to the Bridge Engineering Management/Coordinator office and software equipment provided by the project. The main language for the work to be performed is English and knowledge of a second language is also an important skill to be valued positively.

Tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES.

Understand and interpret what the Bridge Engineering Manager/Coordinator establishes.

Act as the connection between the Bridge Engineering Management/Coordination Office and the two survey crews in the field in order to organize the work to be performed.

Lead/Supervise from the technical point of view the two survey crews in the field with the instructions provided by the Bridge Engineering Management/Coordination Office.

Operate survey instruments and devices.

Lead/Supervise the surveying team to stake out.

Check the accuracy of records, equipment and measurements (daily checks and polygonals).

Load and download the surveying equipment.

Interpret information on drawings, sketches, charts, and construct or draw drawings, sketches, charts.

Follow and implement the Quality Program.

Ensure compliance the health and safety policy.

Assist the site Coordinator/Manager with all technical needs.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

Minimum requirements: School Degree and technical certificate of at least 600 hours in geodesy; or an equivalent combination of continuous education (courses or diplomas in the field of civil engineering, surveying and/or occupational risk prevention) and work experience of at least 15 years in Construction works related with Earthworks, Roads, Structures, Bridges, Canals, Viaducts, Tunnels, Utilities, etc.

Preferred: technical certificate of at least 600 hours in geodesy; or an equivalent
combination of continuous education (courses or diplomas in the field of civil engineering, surveying and/or occupational risk prevention) and work experience of at least 15 years in Construction
works related with Earthworks, Roads, Structures, Bridges, Canals, Viaducts, Tunnels, Utilities, etc.

Strong knowledge and experience of survey methods.

The ability to interpret and use information from maps, graphic drawings and measurements taken in the field.

Fifteen (15) to twenty (20) years of progressive experience in a surveying-related role; experience in civil construction,
in a leadership position.

Experience in the sectors of heavy civil infrastructure, canals, highways and bridges or rail and transit.

It is required that the selected person has worked at least in one Mega Project, more than 1 billion dollars, in the last 7 years.

Must hold a valid driver's license.

Experience with GPS, Robotic Total Stations, levels. (Leica, Trimble).

Computer skills and the ability to use AutoCAD (Civil 3D), MDT, MicroStation, Leica Geo Office Opens a New Window. MS Office, MS Excel.

Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of leadership.

Ability to communicate in English orally and knowledge of a second language is also an important skill to be valued positively.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.

Salary: $55.29 CAD per hour.

Benefits:

-Paid time off: 15 days per year.

-Access to a vehicle: the company s client will provide a vehicle for the employee.

-Other benefits: support from the company s administrative office in order to perform any administrative tasks regarding English tests, school enrolment, finding accommodation and related issues.

Schedule: from Monday to Friday. Saturdays on occasion.
