(Sr) Outfitting Engineer

Building a luxurious superyacht starts with the customer s wishes and requirements. First the rough necessary work, then the interior. But you finish it off with the chic balustrades. Installing sun protection where necessary. The handrails, doors, everything that gives a superyacht its luxurious look is in your hands.

Tasks

As an Outfitting Engineer you are responsible for the 3D detail design of a wide range of equipment that is essential for creating the luxurious look of superyachts. With AutoCAD and Siemens NX (or similar software) you can draw and model solutions for doors, hatches, windows, etc. Besides being involved in the design, you choose the materials, production techniques, assembly, manufacturability and costs of exterior elements before the production phase begins.

Your work includes:

• You are a part of the overall detailed design of the equipment/exterior of a superyacht and you ensure high-quality and timely elaboration of the final design
• You model independently, calculate, make sketches and draw the technical specifications, in accordance with classification rules and regulations
• Solving complex technical issues between the design and the production
• Drawing specifications for required materials and production techniques
• Follow up of the efficient execution of the exterior of the superyacht

Requirements

You are a team player and you have excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus. You are involved in many different aspects of Outfitting and you know how to take into account applicable laws and regulations.

In addition, you preferably have:

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture or relevant technical education
• At least 3 years of experience in yacht or shipbuilding, preferably in outfitting systems
• Experience with 2D and 3D systems, such as AutoCad, Siemens NX or similar drawing software
