Job Description
- Large NSW Government Organisation
- $500 per day + Super
- 12-month Contract Role

Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Finance Analystto join their team.
The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the work of the Senior Finance Analysts and Finance team specialists through the timely provision of a range financial services to meet internal and external reporting and analysis requirements, statutory compliance requirements and support the achievement of business objectives.
The Finance Analyst works with a broad range of data sets and information sources (qualitative and quantitative) to provide preliminary insights to be pursued with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the specialist finance teams in the creation, dissemination, explanation and analysis of quality, timely and accurate routine and ad-hoc financial management reports to the business to inform and support decision making.
- Perform financial analysis and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data and identify risk areas. This includes monitoring of monthly results for transactional issues with accruals, prepayments, capitalisation, and project costing allocations.
- Contribute to the achievement of financial management business outcomes by participating in cross functional project teams driving business improvement projects and/or financial sustainability initiatives at a business unit, divisional and/or whole organisation.
- Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to investigate business and economic trends, analyse previous business performance, anticipate potential problems or obstacles and apply those insights to the relevant finance team members.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of proformas, standards and processes that streamline mundane tasks in order to provide greater time for drawing out insights and recommendations.
Selection Criteria:
- Experienced with Power BI.
- Financial Analyst experience with Month end and Reporting.
