Position: Supervisor – Plant Operations

Job Summary

The Supervisor – Plant Operations will be responsible for supervising day-to-day manufacturing activities of electrical panels and ensuring accurate execution of panel drawings on the shop floor. The role’s primary responsibility is to read and understand electrical panel drawings/schematics and ensure the production team executes the assembly wiring fitting and installation activities exactly as per approved drawings with minimum errors and rework.

The candidate will act as a bridge between the Design Team and Production Team to ensure quality accuracy and timely completion of panels.

Key Responsibilities

Drawing Interpretation & Execution Monitoring

• Read and understand electrical panel GA drawings wiring diagrams SLDs and schematic drawings.
• Explain drawings and technical requirements to the production team.
• Ensure production activities are executed exactly as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Verify component placement wiring routes ferruling labeling and panel assembly accuracy.
• Identify drawing deviations wiring mistakes and execution gaps before dispatch.
• Minimize production errors rework and material wastage through close supervision.
• Coordinate with the Design Team for clarifications or modifications in drawings.

Production & Shop Floor Supervision

• Supervise daily shop floor activities related to electrical panel manufacturing.
• Allocate work among electricians technicians and helpers.
• Monitor production timelines and ensure target completion.
• Ensure proper usage of tools machinery and materials.
• Maintain discipline productivity and operational efficiency on the shop floor.

Quality Control & Inspection

• Conduct stage-wise inspection during panel assembly and wiring.
• Ensure all panels meet quality and safety standards before dispatch.
• Ensure neat wiring practices proper dressing ferruling gland fixing and component mounting.
• Support testing and troubleshooting activities.

Team Handling & Coordination

• Coordinate between Design Purchase Stores and Production departments.
• Train and guide technicians on drawing understanding and execution quality.
• Ensure smooth workflow and quick resolution of production issues.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Diploma / ITI / in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Electrical Panel Manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in LT Panels PCC Panels MCC Panels APFC Panels Control Panels etc.

Most Important Skills Required

Mandatory Skills

• Strong ability to read and understand electrical panel drawings.
• Practical understanding of panel manufacturing and wiring execution.
• Ability to identify execution mistakes and ensure zero-error production.
• Knowledge of electrical components panel layouts and wiring standards.
• Shop floor supervision and manpower handling capability.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings.
• Understanding of quality inspection processes.
• Basic testing and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Ability to maintain production reports and MIS.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Detail-oriented and quality-focused individual.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical panel execution.
• Ability to control and monitor production teams effectively.
• Candidates from Electrical Panel Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
