Sr QA Playwright Automation

Job Title: Senior Playwright Automation QA Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright automation and solid functional testing experience. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality product delivery through effective test planning execution and automation while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

FUNCTIONAL TESTER:

• Works with Product Owners and BAs to understand requirements (functional and non-functional)
• Creates and maintains test plan/suite of test cases (including expected and actual results) using QA test methodologies and standards.
• Executes test cases; defines the steps to reproduce the issue; categorizes the defect by severity; works with the product team to determine root-cause; verifies the fix.
• Automates test cases to achieve higher efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Creates test cases and plans for integration and user acceptance testing.
• Automates test cases to achieve higher efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Summarizes test results for the Product Owner (QA reporting)
• Participates and champions all agile/scrum ceremonies (or adherence to Kanban principles)
• Monitors sprint burndown charts to know when to ramp up/down the team to drive quality and velocity over time

AUTOMATION TESTER:

• Participates in automating test cases to achieve higher efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Creates test cases for integration and user acceptance testing.
• Automates test cases to achieve higher efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Summarizes test results for the Product Owner (QA reporting).
• Participates and champions all agile/scrum ceremonies (or adherence to Kanban principles).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 3-6 years experience tester on web-based products (including UI DB and APIs).
• Understanding of Quality Assurance processes for software application testing.
• Knowledge of designated testing tool suite such as Quality Center / Azure DevOps / Jira.
• Knowledge in SQL queries.
• Experience in working with REST APIs understanding of Soap APIs.
• Experience in API Testing and its automation tools like Postman.
• Understanding of Swagger API Platform.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS or JQuery.
• Knowledge of bug life cycle SDLC Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience with version control systems GIT VSTS / Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter LoadRunner (JMeter preferred).

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major).

Quality Assurance certification from an accredited program.
