Senior Quality Engineer II (Selenium)
Job Summary
Seismic is seeking a Software Engineer in Test with strong expertise in Selenium-based automation and solid programming skills to join our dynamic and innovative team.
As part of the Quality Engineering organisation you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing and building robust test automation frameworks and scalable test solutions.
You will collaborate closely with developers product managers SRE and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality software and improve engineering productivity through automation.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 7 years (or aligned level) in QA automation / SDET roles
- Strong hands-on experience inSelenium WebDriver
- Strong programming skills inJava / Python / JavaScript (coding depth is a must)
- Experience building or enhancingautomation frameworks from scratch
- Solid understanding ofsoftware testing principles and automation best practices
- Experience withTestNG / JUnit / PyTest / Cypress / Playwright (any relevant framework)
- Strong experience inAPI testing (Postman REST Assured etc.)
- Hands-on experience withCI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.)
- Strong understanding ofGit-based version control systems
- Experience withtest case management / defect tracking tools (Jira etc.)
- Knowledge ofAgile/Scrum development practices
- Good understanding ofdatabases and SQL validation
- Design develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver
- Build scalable automation solutions forUI API and end-to-end workflows
- Write clean maintainable and reusable code for automation scripts (Java/Python/JavaScript)
- Execute automated test suites and analyse results to identify defects performance issues and gapsDevelop and maintain page object models (POM) and data-driven or hybrid frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to definetest strategies acceptance criteria and quality gates
- Contribute toCI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and release processesPerform root cause analysis on defects and support defect triage and resolution
- Participate in design and code reviews ensuringtestability and quality are built earlyContinuously improve test coverage frameworks and automation practices
