Location: Surat Gujarat (Work from Office) (First preference is for Surat; if not then for Ahmedabad work from Office )

Our Surat office serves as an engineering delivery center supporting our U.S. operations and currently houses a growing team of skilled MEP professionals.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in U.S. MEP projects particularly California-based HVAC design projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise proven experience in leading and mentoring a team managing client coordination and taking complete ownership of project delivery from concept through construction documentation.
This role requires a highly responsible professional who can independently handle multiple projects ensure on-time delivery maintain quality standards and communicate effectively with U.S.-based clients architects consultants and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Engineering
- Design HVAC systems for commercial residential healthcare educational public and industrial buildings in accordance with U.S. codes and standards.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations using HAP 3D or equivalent software.
- Prepare ductwork layouts piping layouts ventilation calculations equipment schedules riser diagrams and system schematics.
- Perform equipment selection and system sizing for various HVAC systems including DX VRF chilled water hot water packaged units exhaust systems and ventilation systems.
- Develop energy-efficient mechanical designs compliant with California Title 24 requirements using EnergyPro/T24.
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural structural electrical and plumbing disciplines using Revit MEP.
Project Management & Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
- Review team members’ drawings calculations and construction documents for accuracy and quality.
- Plan project schedules assign tasks monitor progress and ensure timely project delivery.
- Take complete ownership of assigned projects including design development coordination documentation and submission milestones.
- Identify project risks and proactively resolve technical and coordination issues.
Client & U.S. Team Coordination
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with U.S.-based clients architects consultants and contractors.
- Communicate project status technical clarifications and design decisions effectively.
- Support the U.S. engineering team with design reviews and project execution strategies.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients through responsive communication and dependable delivery.
Construction Administration Support
- Review equipment and material submittals.
- Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Provide technical support during construction and assist in resolving field coordination issues.
- Review contractor comments and incorporate necessary revisions into construction documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–8 years of experience in U.S. MEP / HVAC design projects.
- Minimum 5 years of California project experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in commercial HVAC system design and mechanical system development.
- Mandatory proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of:
- HAP 3D
- Revit
- EnergyPro / T24
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of:
- California Mechanical Code (CMC)
- California Energy Code (Title 24)
- ASHRAE standards
- IMC IPC SMACNA and other relevant international/U.S. standards
- Experience in preparing construction documents for permit and bid submission.

- Experience working with U.S. construction administration processes
