Senior Procurement Executive - Marine
(based in Delhi NCR Noida)
ORGANIZATION:The Senior Procurement Executive will work closely with the Technical Superintendents and Fleet Managers to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities technical operations and vessel maintenance. This position offers a dynamic and engaging environment for those who are eager to develop operational expertise and contribute to the overall efficiency of fleet operations.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the preparation review and management of all technical documentation including vessel certificates maintenance records and compliance reports.
Assist in the procurement and shipment of spare parts equipment and supplies for vessels.
Coordinate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery to the vessels.
Manage vendor negotiations and logistics coordination to ensure cost-efficient accurate and timely delivery of materials to vessels.
Streamline purchase order processing invoicing and reporting while addressing daily queries and monitoring vessel costs effectively.
Provide administrative support to the technical superintendents and marine superintendents including coordination of vessel inspections repairs and dry-docking schedules.
Oversee audit-related tasks including defect reports certificates and critical spares.
Maintain accurate records of vessel performance fuel consumption and maintenance activities.
Generate regular reports for management review.
Support the technical team in monitoring and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and safety standards.
Support the shore based technical team with ad hoc administrative tasks.
Requirements
A diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field (or relevant practical experience).
5 years plus experience in the maritime industry experience working in ship management firms in similar is preferred.
Prior experience in a shipping company particularly in a technical or marine assistant role is preferred.
Strong understanding of vessel operations systems and technical procurement processes.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail particularly in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to liaise with vendors vessels and internal teams.
Ability to manage purchase orders invoices and follow up on outstanding actions.
Willingness to learn and support team members in resolving operational issues.
Meticulous and able to work independently and with a team with a proactive approach.
