Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Senior Product Product this pivotal role you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a Senior product engineer you will work closely with the cross functional teams in various locations of our business to build industry-relevant products that meet the required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Lifecycle/ Sustaining projects Productivity Q&R NPD Agile NTP and others.

Where is the work:

Onsite: This position has been designated as an Onsite work schedule with work performed onsite 4 days each week.

What you will do:

• Understand project requirements collaborate with project owners leaders & cross-functional teams across the globe for the delivery of projects by adhering to standard processes systems and project management principles

• Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q) Delivery (D) Project cost (C) &Product cost (C) targets. Proficient in Project management.

• Solve technical problems identify solutions participate in concept reviews critical design reviews and other technical discussions with the global team and handle multiple projects at the same time

• Develop concepts design/select & develop components along with suppliers develop component specifications for structural component (metal non-metal) and assemblies DFMEA and test plan

• Create and release engineering documentation using PLM & PDM software like ProE & Windchill. (Design Drawings Bill of material and Specifications).

• Co-ordinate with cross-functional team to implement design changes.

• Collaborate with Lifecycle engineering team to fix engineering related issues.

What you will bring:

• BE degree - masters in mechanical engineering / related specialization

• 5 years on experience in component selection system integration concept development design calculations lifecycle engineering in the domain currently working.

• Experience in product design development process/phases; Hands on experience in DFMEA and test plan development. Exposure to prototype/engineering builds & testing.

• Good Knowledge of metal & Non-metal component design assy Mfg process. Basics of Electrical system / components would be added advantage.

• Basic knowledge in understanding material properties for materials selection considering application requirements.

• Demonstrates ability to get to root cause and to take effective action to solve problems. Hands on experience with problem solving tools.

• Demonstrates innovation & initiative approach at work ability to develop new methods and approaches.

• Fosters effective teamwork where people work together to achieve common goals. A strong team player that can work with others.

• Excellent communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas and results in a clear and concise manner
