Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS & Large-Scale Systems) - 100% Remote
Location: 100% Remote
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Budget: 1 LPM

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Requirements Cloud Platform: Expertise in AWS is mandatory. Deep hands-on experience with core services including but not limited to: EC2 ECS/EKS Lambda S3 RDS DynamoDB VPC Route53 IAM CloudFront and ElastiCache (Redis/Memcached).
Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS) or AWS ECS.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience writing clean modular code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. CI/CD Tools: Mastery of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
Database Management: Experience managing and scaling relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL/Aurora) and NoSQL databases under heavy read/write loads.
Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or Go for operational automation.
Observability Stack: Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog New Relic Prometheus Grafana or ELK/OpenSearch stack.
Experience & Background Experience:
5 years of dedicated DevOps/SRE experience.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record of managing infrastructure for large-scale high-traffic web applications (e.g. e-commerce fintech or SaaS platforms with millions of active users).
Problem Solving: Strong understanding of system internals networking protocols (TCP/IP HTTP/S DNS) and distributed system architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
Experience with microservices architecture event-driven systems (Kafka RabbitMQ SQS) and API Gateways.
Understanding of e-commerce specific challenges (e.g. inventory race conditions payment gateway integrations and data compliance like PCI-DSS).
