Designation- Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and own defined commodity group like Electric Motors Drives Soft Starters etc.
  • Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy:
    • Assess Opportunity and analysis for commodity including spend segmentation commodity maturity cost drivers and supply market analysis
    • Develop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects sourcing levers (Resourcing Localization LCC) timing resources and expected benefits
    • Accountable for execution of sourcing projects including RFx continuous improvement consolidation etc.
    • Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles commercial negotiations targets defining switching costs and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection - accountable for contract life cycle management and compliance
  • Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects - responsible for supporting regional/sector counterparts
  • Support supplier segmentation Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Scribe for all quarterly reviews and key supplier meetings. Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.
  • Responsible for commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity
  • Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs RFQs and SRM to set and meet program QCD targets
  • Responsible to support and drive ETO ( Engineer to Order) sourcing activities from tending to Post order execution
  • As a ETO Procurement manager should drive on end to end pricing and negotiation with all suppliers to get better margin and order execution
  • Co-ordiante with all stakeholders along with Tendering Engg Operations and Project management team.
  • Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial capacity quality and compliance
  • Drive Supplier consolidation program and can be able to drive Net working capital through Pay term improvement Supplier Inventory and Manage Long term supplier agreements
  • Responsible for forecasting reporting mitigating and recovery of commodity inflation
  • Support Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR) including updated projects metrics strategy and countermeasures
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (Engineering Operations Quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality - partner with regional teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with 15-20 years of working experience in Strategic Sourcing or supply chain
  • Good command of English language and good command of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Excellent customer service: commitment to solve problems and requests understanding of the customer needs business and priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities. Solves the majority of problems with no/minimal supervision. Recognizes developing problems and brings them to the attention of others to ensure the appropriate solution is reached / decision is taken.
  • Phone etiquette awareness
  • Knowledge ofOracle R12 and SAP MMmodule software
  • Must be able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to work well in a virtual team environment and effectively collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Understands business processes and can relate actions to business outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstratedstrong customer service orientation and applied knowledge in Electrical Motors Drives and starters commodities
  • On Hand experience to work with such commoditiy based suppliers and commodity execution
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate associates and to interact with various departments throughout the organization
  • Team oriented proactive change agent with a hands-on collaborative approach in implementing and maintaining operating disciplines while leveraging lean methodologies
  • Problem solving techniques 9 Steps Problem solving track record and process improvement tools such as Impact Daily management (IDM)
