Mechanical Assistant Engineer Engineer (Maintenance)

Role Summary

The Mechanical Assistant Engineer / Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of mechanical systems and equipment within the plant. The role focuses on minimizing downtime improving equipment reliability and executing preventive and predictive maintenance practices. The position requires strong technical knowledge hands-on troubleshooting capability and coordination with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production and operational equipment to ensure uninterrupted plant functioning
2. Assist in planning and execution of daily weekly and shutdown maintenance activities
3. Perform routine inspections of machines and mechanical systems to identify potential issues
4. Maintain proper documentation including log books check sheets preventive maintenance schedules history cards and breakdown reports
5. Coordinate with vendors for spares procurement and service support to ensure timely availability and resolution
6. Support breakdown maintenance with quick response and effective corrective actions
7. Ensure adherence to maintenance SOPs safety guidelines and operational standards

Technical Expertise

1. Working knowledge of press machines up to 100 Ton capacity
2. Knowledge of utility equipment including DG Sets Air Compressors Forklifts and Cooling Towers
3. Understanding of mechanical systems machine inspection techniques and equipment maintenance practices
4. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies
5. Familiarity with MTTR MTBF and maintenance performance metrics
6. Basic working knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
