This role is designed for a dynamic professional who can merge strategic fundraising with creative storytelling. You will be responsible for building a robust pipeline of donors managing high-value partnerships and enhancing the organisations brand visibility to drive large-scale systems change.
Key Responsibilities
1. Resource Mobilisation & Donor Relations
Develop and execute a fundraising strategy targeting CSR partners foundations and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).
Identify research and cultivate a pipeline of potential institutional and individual donors.
Write high-quality compelling grant proposals concept notes and pitch decks.
Manage end-to-end donor relationships ensuring timely reporting impact documentation and high retention rates.
2. Strategic Communications & Branding
Create powerful narratives and human-interest stories from the field to showcase the impact of play-based learning.
Manage digital presence across social media platforms and the organisations website.
Design and produce communication materials including newsletters annual reports and marketing collateral.
Institutionalise knowledge products and capacity-building visibility programs.
3. Partnership & Event Management
Spearhead corporate engagement via national conferences CSR-aligned events and stakeholder platforms.
Coordinate donor visits and volunteer engagement activities at programme locations.
Represent the organisation in national and global networks to enhance visibility and credibility.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
48 years of experience in fundraising communications or partnerships preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Demonstrated success in raising and managing institutional and individual donor funds.
Excellent written communication skills particularly in grant writing and impact storytelling.
Familiarity with the CSR landscape philanthropic trends and the Companies Act 2013.
Digital fluency in GSuite Excel and social media management tools.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in design tools such as Canva Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Experience managing volunteer programs and corporate employee engagement.
Background in child rights education or creative programming.
An existing network of CSR leaders and HNI contacts.
