Principal Responsibilities:
Role holder will be part of the Digital Business & Partnerships team and will play an active role in driving the business outcomes via the SAGE digital platform with primarily but not limited to:
- Leverage HSBC internal data and client non- consent (public data) and consent data APIs for multiple business outcomes
- Automate and digitize using data credit risk and non-financial risk of HSBC portfolio.
- Extract clean and preprocess large complex datasets from various sources to prepare them for analysis and model building with latest tools.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends patterns and anomalies translating findings into clear digestible business insights.
- Support the design development and validation of machine learning models.
- Contribute to data documentation pipeline automation and reporting processes.
- Assist in designing dashboards and visual reports using tools like Power BI Tableau or Looker.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify use cases for AI and analytics solutions.
- Prepare reports dashboards and presentations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT business operations) to translate analytical results into business outcomes.
- Work with regulators and partners in sandbox initiatives to test and validate new business opportunities.
- Identify and implement new solutions from government tech infrastructure and India stack.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Statistics Mathematics Data Science Engineering or related field.
- Working hands on experience in SQL Python cloud technology visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI Tableau Matplotlib).
- Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and data analytics concepts.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Exposure to data wrangling and model deployment.
- Mandatory and Minimum of 5-10 years proven and progressive working experience across data led roles analytics and rule-based frameworks.
Desired
- Bachelors degree or degree / certification in data analytics related field or equivalent experience
- Expertise in India stack India data schemas data partners delivering data-based solution.
- Understanding of local operating markets and their corresponding span(s) of control within assigned country
- Experience of driving strategic change in a matrix environment
- Extensive product knowledge of Corporate Banking
- Strong knowledge of the Indian digital ecosystem fin-techs new economy and emerging themes
Eligibility Criteria for Internal Applicants:
A minimum of 12 months in current role for a level transfer/promotion
Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment as required.
