CA Workload Automation Engineer

Mattel India is seeking an experienced CA Workload Automation professional to administer optimize and support CA Workload Automation (CA Scheduler) environments in a strictly SOX-regulated infrastructure setup. You will manage complex batch/job scheduling event-driven workloads dependencies and automation across hybrid platforms (mainframe UNIX/Linux Windows cloud) to ensure reliable execution of financial supply chain ETL reporting and digital operations jobs. This role focuses on SOX compliance (ITGCs audit logging change controls privileged access evidence generation) incident resolution and 24x7 availability to minimize downtime and support business continuity for iconic toy brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Install configure upgrade and maintain CA Workload Automation instances (e.g. CA 7 CA DE or equivalent Broadcom schedulers) agents and high-availability setups across on-prem/cloud/hybrid environments.
• Define schedule monitor and troubleshoot complex workloads: job definitions calendars dependencies (predecessor/successor) event triggers resource management and cross-platform execution.
• Implement and enforce SOX compliance features: role-based access controls (RBAC) audit trails execution history reporting change management approvals privileged credential handling segregation of duties (SoD) and automated evidence collection for audits.
• Monitor real-time workload performance SLAs job status failures and bottlenecks using CA tools/interfaces; set up alerts notifications and integrations (e.g. with ServiceNow Splunk PagerDuty).
• Provide 24x7 production support: Respond to incidents/alerts during shifts/on-call perform restarts/recoveries root-cause analysis and automated remediation; ensure minimal impact on business-critical jobs (e.g. financial close order processing).
• Optimize scheduling: Reduce manual interventions improve predictability handle reruns/restarts manage resource contention and support failover/high-availability configurations.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Security Compliance Audit and Application teams to align workloads with SOX ITGCs define SLAs and remediate audit findings.
• Develop scripts/utilities (e.g. JIL for CA 7 CLI commands or integrations) for automation of job management reporting and compliance checks.
• Participate in SOX/PCI audits control testing disaster recovery drills and continuous improvement of workload processes.
• Document procedures runbooks configurations and SOX artifacts; contribute to knowledge sharing and team training.

Shift/Support Model: Rotational 24x7 shifts (including nights weekends and on-call) to support global mission-critical workloads in a follow-the-sun environment

Qualifications :

• 3.5-5 years of hands-on experience administering CA Workload Automation / CA Scheduler (Broadcom/CA 7 DE or similar editions) in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Job definition (JIL) scheduling calendars dependencies event-based triggers and agent management.
  • Monitoring dashboards forecasting SLA tracking and troubleshooting failed/aborted jobs.
  • High-availability/failover setups and cross-platform scheduling (mainframe z/OS UNIX/Linux Windows).
• Proven knowledge of SOX compliance in workload automation: audit trails RBAC change controls execution history privileged access and regulatory reporting/evidence.
• Experience in 24x7 production support environments with on-call rotation incident management (ITIL-aligned) and high-availability systems.
• Familiarity with related tools: ServiceNow/Jira for ticketing Splunk/Dynatrace for monitoring scripting (e.g. Rexx JCL for mainframe or shell/PowerShell) and integrations.
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies: Mainframe (z/OS) servers (Windows/Linux) cloud (AWS/Azure) networking and batch/ETL processes.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills in a regulated global context.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer goods retail manufacturing or entertainment sectors (e.g. supporting supply chain DTC/e-commerce financial batch jobs).
• Certifications: Broadcom/CA Workload Automation-related ITIL Foundation CISA/CRISC or mainframe scheduling credentials.
• Exposure to complementary tools (e.g. Autosys Control-M ESP) or modern workload orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes-integrated).
