Position Overview
The Government of Nova Scotia through Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS) is seeking a motivatedTechnical Analyst User Support Services to support a critical healthcare technology initiative within Nova Scotia Health facilities. This role is part of a large-scale resource augmentation project focused on enhancing desktop support services device deployment and end-user technology support across healthcare environments.
The successful candidate will work onsite alongside local support teams providing hands-on technical assistance to healthcare professionals while ensuring the efficient deployment maintenance and support of end-user devices and equipment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite and remote technical support to healthcare staff and end users.
Deploy and configure new computers peripherals and accessories.
Refresh and replace existing hardware with new equipment.
Perform device imaging configuration and deployment activities.
Install troubleshoot and support software applications.
Gather technical and user information to support incident resolution.
Diagnose and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues.
Conduct physical workstation and device replacements including equipment located under desks and in clinical environments.
Assemble and configure Workstations on Wheels (WOW carts) and other technology equipment.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities deployments and support requests.
Collaborate with internal teams vendors and healthcare stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Complete other technical support duties as assigned by team leads and management.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
IT Diploma or equivalent post-secondary education from a recognized institution.
Experience with hardware deployment and lifecycle refresh projects.
Familiarity with healthcare IT environments.
Experience tracking and reporting technical support activities.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
The role will be primarily based at healthcare facilities within the Yarmouth region with occasional travel to other Nova Scotia Health sites as required. The successful candidate will work directly within hospital environments supporting frontline healthcare operations.
