Renovation Specialist

We are currently seeking a Renovation Specialist to join our Capital Improvements this role you will support unit turnovers and various capital improvement projects across our portfolio of multi-unit residential communities. The successful candidate will be hands-on in completing renovation activities while also collaborating with third-party contractors to coordinate work identify deficiencies and ensure units are prepared for new residents.

Responsibilities

In addition to the duties typically expected of a renovation & maintenance professional responsibilities will include;

• Install floor & wall ceramic tiles including proper surface preparation.
• Install baseboards quarter round moulding and door casings.
• Perform minor drywall repairs and patching as required.
• Hang interior doors and install door hardware.
• Inspect newly finished walls for cleanliness including removal of grime and residue.
• Assess and document deficiencies for reporting to contractors.
• Prepare renovated units for occupancy by completing final cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in residential renovations.
• Demonstrated ability to complete ceramic tile installations independently and to a high standard.
• Hands-on experience with finish work including installation of baseboards casings doors and hardware.
• Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
• Must own basic hand tools required for day-to-day tasks; specialized tools and equipment will be provided by the employer.
• Drivers license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
• Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks including bending kneeling lifting and extended periods of walking.
• Functional English verbal communication skills.

Additional Information

• All successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check and provide professional references as a condition of employment.

The expected hourly wage for this role is between $25 - $28 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates skills experience and other job-related requirements.
