Program commercialP&CUnderwriteris responsible forthe profitable growth of the CommercialP& are focused on developing successful broker relationships and writing and renewing profitable Commercial willmaintainthe underwriting integrity of theCommercialP& will work closely with the Program Analysts to ensure program growth and profitability.

What will you do

• Underwrite risks presented to Gore Mutual (New Business Renewal Endorsement Cancellations)

• The P&C Underwriter- Programswillberesponsibilityfor managing broker willbe responsible forproviding great service and fostering relationships which can enable trading of commercial business to improve the commercialprogramsportfolio.

• The P&C Underwriter Programsis responsible forproviding operational instruction to Associate underwritersor support will provide guidance which is within their own authority and encourage critical thinking and promote a solution-oriented approach.

• The P&C Underwriter- Programsisresponsible fortheirtime management and desk management as well as meeting service level agreementswith guidance and coaching provided by their

• The P & C Underwriter Programsis responsible forthe bordereau ingestion/entry of theirPrograms andMGAswith DUA (Designated Underwriting Authority).

What will you need to succeed

• A minimum of 3 years of commercial underwriting experience
• University degree college diploma or equivalent experience
• Enrollment in or completion of the CIP and/or FCIP
• Ability to be comfortable with change while also promoting change to continuously improve the teams operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting commercial insurance solutions specific to the needs of the client
• Proficient underwriting skills sound judgement decision making negotiation and analytical ability
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision
• Proficient skill with computer applications including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Location: Were a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds with 2 days a week spent in one of our vibrant offices in Cambridge Toronto or Voncouver.

The expected base salary range for this position is $52500.00 - $86500.00. Depending on your relevant experience skills qualifications market conditions and business needs base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutuals discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
