Role Summary
The Payroll Coordinator supports the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll while maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with union agreements and payroll regulations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll operations run efficiently securely and in alignment with Modern Niagara standards.

Key Impact / Purpose
- Ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll processing and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with union agreements payroll regulations and internal standards.
- Improve payroll processes through efficiency initiatives and system enhancements.
- Support internal teams with reliable payroll data reporting and communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing weekly payrolls and communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain confidential employee records and files.
- Support preparation of union remittances and reporting.
- Assist with union agreement updates and maintenance within the accounting system.
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) for weekly union terminations.
- Stay current with payroll regulations standards and best practices.
- Contribute to efficiency initiatives (e.g. new software paperless processes).
- Assist with labour reporting for Construction Service and Safety departments.
Must Haves:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and diplomatic approach.
- Integrity and accountability in handling sensitive information.
- Interest in developing a career in payroll.
Nice to Haves:
- Previous construction or union environment experience.
- Knowledge of payroll-related accounting concepts.
- Experience with payroll or accounting systems.

This is a New position. Expected annual compensation; $48000 - $52000
