As Legal Counsel you will have two core areas of focus: acting as commercial counsel to Amdocs business teams across a diverse range of industries and transactions including financial services institutions and supporting Amdocs M&A and corporate development activities including acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.
What will your job look like
This role is structured around two primary focus areas:(1) Commercial Counsel and (2) M&A / Corporate Development Legal Support.
- Draft review negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial agreements and engagements including master services agreement managed services software licensing (including SaaS) and other strategic business arrangements across multiple industries and geographies including financial services institutions and other non-telco accounts.
- Partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to provide clear practical and risk-balanced legal advice on commercial matters.
- Assess legal regulatory and compliance risks and develop pragmatic solutions aligned with business objectives company policies and applicable laws.
- Support corporate development and M&A activities including legal due diligence transaction documents and advising on post-closing matters.
- Contribute to cross-functional legal projects process improvements template development and other initiatives that enhance the efficiency and scalability of the legal function.
- Leverage advanced AI tools to support contract analysis drafting and negotiation as well as other legal and business matters.
All you need is...
- Law degree from a recognized law school.
- Admission to the Bar and in good standing in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of relevant legal experience either in-house at a global technology company or at a leading law firm with strong exposure to commercial and transactional matters.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial agreements.
- Experience supporting M&A corporate development or other strategic transactions including due diligence and transaction execution is an advantage.
- Experience in the financial services sector including work with financial services institutions is a significant advantage.
- Ability to operate effectively across both focus areas by combining strong commercial judgment with transaction execution capability.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical solution-oriented advice in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively across legal finance tax corporate development and business teams.
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic global and often remote environment.
- Experience working with Gen AI tools is an advantage.
