Overview

AtkinsRéalis is one of Canadas largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.

Your role

Lab Floor:

• Work to support all active project groups.
• React to daily issues: re crane lift truck elevator etc.
• Direct various groups to coordinate lab schedules with outside solution providers (OHS PROFAC etc).
• Housekeeping.
• Direct Network cleaners.
• Provide information advice and coordination of Work Permit.
• Assist with JSA development for NF functions.
• Coordinate with other contractors (ie: Building Maintenance Roofing).
• Hazardous Waste organizing and storing.
• Contractor Sponsor.
• Support project groups as lift truck or crane operator.
• Removal of obsolete or unnecessary equipment or test systems as they are identified.

Support Annual Inspections:

• Crane inspection & maintenance.
• Fume hood inspections & maintenance.
• Lift truck inspection & maintenance.
• Fall Arrest equipment inspection & maintenance.
• Pallet truck inspection & maintenance.
• All below the hook lifting equipment inspection & maintenance.

Safety:

• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• Work with OHS on all safety activities.

About you

• Diploma from a College of recognized standing or equivalent technical education/experience.

• Familiar operating forklifts cranes etc

• 1-2 years trade experience including mechanical/electrical technician HVAC

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with external contractors
