The Position:

Wereon the hunt for aJuniorSoftware Engineer/MTS(Member of TechnicalStaff)onourRobotics & Space Operationsteam at ourBramptonoffice.

With 40 years of operational experience and proven performance on the iconic Canadarm programs including Space Shuttle and International Space Station robotics and operations support our Robotics & Space Operations team has 100% mission success in making space dreams come true.

AsaJuniorSoftware Engineer/MTSyouwould be part ofahighly talentedteamtodesign implementmaintainand testsafety willhave the opportunity to learn from highly experienced SoftwareEngineers to develop modular efficient and robust Softwarethatare/will be part of our robotics solutions for space applications.

Responsibilities:

As part of a team:

• Under the direction of asenior engineer implement software to satisfydesign/requirements.

• Create andexecuteunittests ensuring proper coverage.

• Ensure code meets our internal coding standards.

• Documentthe design code and tests.

• Participate in peer code reviews.

• Participate in review meetings withcustomer.(maybe forIntermediate)

• Support hardware/software integration tests.

• Participate in field trials and demos as needed.

• Otherduties aswill be assigned from time to time by managementor a teamlead.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Experience

• Strong programming knowledge inonor more of the following languages: C/Cpython C# JavaRustor another Object-Oriented language.

• Software Configuration Management tools(preferablyGit)

• Bachelors degree in ComputerEngineeringComputer Science orarelateddiscipline.

• 0-2years of relevant experience

• Highly motivated enthusiastic and a positive thinker

• Strong written/verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Beneficial Skills/Experience

• Processor and memory architectures

• Communications interfaces (SPIEtherCATCANOpenTTEetc.)

• Unit testing

• Working with robotics

• Strong academic record

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
