How Youll Make an Impact
In this role youll lead and evolve the Banks risk management capabilitieswhile acting as a trusted advisor across the organization.
Lead Enterprise Risk Management
- Design implement and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework.
- Ensure alignment with the Banks Risk Appetite Framework and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain risk policies governance and standards that support effective oversight.
Strengthen Risk Oversight & Challenge
- Provide independent oversight and challenge across business lines and risk activities.
- Monitor risk exposures trends and emerging issuesescalating where appropriate.
- Support clarity and effectiveness across the three lines of defense.
Advance Operational & Non-Financial Risk Management
- Oversee frameworks related to operational risk business continuity incident management and KRIs.
- Monitor key non-financial risks including cyber third-party and conduct risk.
- Drive continuous improvement in control effectiveness and operational resilience.
Deliver Strategic Risk Insights
- Develop clear forward-looking risk reporting for senior management and the Board.
- Translate complex risk data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support enterprise stress testing and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
Lead Mentor and Build Capability
- Lead coach and develop a high-performing risk team.
- Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous learning.
- Support succession planning and talent development across the function.
What You Bring to the Table
- 10 years of experience in risk management within a financial services environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving results.
- Post-secondary education in business risk management or a related field.
- A recognized risk management designation is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the Canadian financial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence collaborate and lead at a senior level.
