• Marketing Generalist 15: Salaries typically range from $65172 to $86898annually based on qualifications and experiencesplus a performance-based incentive.

• Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment with a current requirement of two in-office days per week increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
• This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa.

As a Web Content Publisher you are an integral part of a cross-functional team of strategists writersdesignersand developers that jointlycreatesworld-classdigital experiences. Reporting to the Director of Web Experience youwill beakeymember ofthe Web Experience Teamthat transformsour website into an experience that guides Canadian businesses pursuing international opportunities to the right supportatEDC.

You thrive in the details and with your keen eye you willberesponsibleforpublishing content onto ensuring consistency accuracy accessibility and will use yourstrongorganization skills toefficiently managedigital assetstaxonomy and tagging within the keylink in the content supply chainyoumaintainthecontent lifecycle andupholdgovernance to servetimelyand relevant content to Canadian businesses.

ContentPublishing&Management

• Publishcontentin our content management system AdobeExperience Manager (AEM)includingauthoringpublishingand updatingpagesusing templates and componentswhilemaintaininguser interfaceconsistency

• Managing assetswithin the Digital Asset Manager (DAM) ensuring content hierarchies taxonomy metadata and tagging are properly structured
• Compliance with digital accessibility standards including WCAG guidelines for content elements such as layout text tables images and interactive elements
• Creating and updating authoring guide documentation for eachcomponent

Content LifecycleManagement

• Overseeingcontent lifecycle including trackingexpirationdatesandidentifyingoutdatedcontentthrough automation

• Managingpermissionsandcontent workflowstoprovide the right level of access tocontent owners

• Evergreening content byworking with content owners torefresh existing pages with updated information tomaintainrelevance and SEO performance.

• Archiving obsolete content following organizational policies and ensuring historical recordsremainaccessible when needed.

Development and DesignCollaboration

• Coordinating with developerstodesign andtroubleshoot technical issues related to templates components and accessibility compliance.

• Advising oncomponentflexibilitiesto align authoring capabilities with business needs while ensuring accessibility considerations.

GovernanceandProcess Improvement

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of content governance guidelines

• Provide training and supporttodistributed publishersby working with content contributors ensuring proper governance consistency and best practicesacross teams

• Staying updated on web publishing trends accessibility standards metadata management taxonomy best practices and digital marketing strategies.

• Innovating and evolving the content management model for greater effectiveness and efficiency

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Minimum 2 yearshands-on experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager
• Strong understanding of metadata management tagging strategies and taxonomy structuring for SEO and content categorization.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAGaccessible markup content accessibilitystandardsandbest practices
• Knowledge of HTML CSS and usability best practices
• Undergraddegree in Marketing Communication Interactive Mediaor similar

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills inEnglish (Nice to have: French)
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS management.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues with templates components and accessibility-related challenges.
• Experience in content lifecycle management including content audits evergreening strategies and archival best practices.
• Familiarity with SEO principles digital accessibility compliance and mobile-first content strategies.
• Experience managing distributed publishing workflows with multiple contributors
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with developers stakeholders and content teams.
