The position
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the engineering and manufacturing industry. Working closely with experienced estimators and internal teams you will gain hands-on experience in estimating customer support and project administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist estimators with the preparation of quotations and tender submissions
- Reply to expedite notices and assist with customer follow-up enquiries
- Download and distribute purchase orders from customer portals
- Maintain and update estimating and project documentation
- Liaise with internal departments including engineering procurement and production
- Provide general administrative support to the estimating team
- Learn and develop knowledge of conveyor systems and materials handling equipment
About You
- Minimum Year 12 education
- Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Motivated reliable and eager to develop a career within the industry
