The Project

TheTram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) comprising CPB Contractors BMD Constructions and Arup has been selected to deliver the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The major upgrade includes new express lanes upgraded noise walls and revitalised sections of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.

The Project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA)as the Project Owner and TSA (CPB BMD and Arup) as the Non-owner Participants (NOPs). Together they form the Alliance working as one to deliver this critical infrastructure project.

As a key component of the Northeast Link Program (NELP) this project will provide a safer more efficient freeway connection for over 135000 vehicles daily removing 15000 trucks from local roads and reduce traffic across on the arterial road network crossing the Yarra River by 50000 vehicles per day.

Your opportunity

  • Youll support the projects Document Controller team in delivering one of Victorias largest infrastructure projects. Youll work alongside experienced professionals gaining exposure to safety systems compliance and risk management in a live construction environment.

Reporting to theDocument ControllerLead theDocument Controller (Trainee)will sit within the project team and be accountable for:

  • Assisting with the management governance and control of project information records documents and correspondence throughout their lifecycle.
  • Supporting the receipt review distribution and archiving of controlled documents
  • Maintaining document registers metadata and distribution lists within project systems
  • Assisting with quality assurance reviews to ensure documents meet project standards and compliance requirements
  • Supporting project reporting activities including weekly and monthly reporting
  • Supporting initiatives that improve digital workflows automation and information management processes across the project.
  • Gathering validating and organising information for project dashboards and reports
  • Learning to use industry systems such as InEight SharePoint and Power BI
  • Supporting stakeholders across the project to ensure accurate and timely document management and reporting
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes and document control practices
  • Working collaboratively within a high-performing project team to support successful project delivery.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

This is atraineeship position to be eligible applicantsmust:

  • Be willing to undertake and complete a Certificate IV in Business (or similar qualification) while working full-time
  • Not have previously completed a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Business (or equivalent)
  • Be an Australian Citizen Permanent Resident or NZ Citizen

This role is also ideal for someone who is:

  • Interested in building a career in document control project administration reporting or project support
  • Looking to start or change career paths (no prior qualifications required)
  • Observant and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised process-driven and able to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
