About the role
The Technical Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of technical service operations across HV/LV electrical systems hire assets and field-based maintenance activities ensuring safe compliant efficient and commercially viable service delivery while driving technician performance and supporting business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee technical service activities (maintenance breakdowns commissioning installations).
- Plan/schedule technicians subcontractors and resources to meet SLAs/deadlines.
- Maintain workflow control from job initiation to close-out.
- Provide technical guidance fault finding and diagnostics across HV/LV systems and hire equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards electrical regulations and company procedures.
- Lead mentor and develop technicians/apprentices through performance reviews training and competency plans.
- Manage workforce planning utilization productivity and technician development.
- Act as key client contact provide technical solutions and identify revenue opportunities.
- Manage job costing profitability quoting tendering pricing and financial performance.
- Drive WHS compliance safety initiatives toolbox talks and risk assessments.
- Maintain service records asset registers compliance documentation and support ISO audits.
- Oversee service systems workflows reporting tools and preventative maintenance programs (PPM).

What youll bring
Essential:
- Electrical trade qualification (HV/LV preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in service delivery or maintenance operations.
- Commercial acumen (job costing margins budgeting).
- Knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements including Australian standards.
Desirable:
- Well-developed management skills such as planning organising and evaluation.
- Understanding and interpreting relevant Standards and Codes of Practice.
- 712 years experience in the trade.
- Contract training (GC21/AS4000).
- OH&S training.
