Technical Service manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of technical service operations across HV/LV electrical systems hire assets and field-based maintenance activities ensuring safe compliant efficient and commercially viable service delivery while driving technician performance and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee technical service activities (maintenance breakdowns commissioning installations).
• Plan/schedule technicians subcontractors and resources to meet SLAs/deadlines.
• Maintain workflow control from job initiation to close-out.
• Provide technical guidance fault finding and diagnostics across HV/LV systems and hire equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards electrical regulations and company procedures.
• Lead mentor and develop technicians/apprentices through performance reviews training and competency plans.
• Manage workforce planning utilization productivity and technician development.
• Act as key client contact provide technical solutions and identify revenue opportunities.
• Manage job costing profitability quoting tendering pricing and financial performance.
• Drive WHS compliance safety initiatives toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Maintain service records asset registers compliance documentation and support ISO audits.
• Oversee service systems workflows reporting tools and preventative maintenance programs (PPM).

What youll bring

Essential:

• Electrical trade qualification (HV/LV preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in service delivery or maintenance operations.
• Commercial acumen (job costing margins budgeting).
• Knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements including Australian standards.

Desirable:

• Well-developed management skills such as planning organising and evaluation.
• Understanding and interpreting relevant Standards and Codes of Practice.
• 712 years experience in the trade.
• Contract training (GC21/AS4000).
• OH&S training.
