Whats the role

As a Technical Lead you will drive the payroll transformation initiative from a technology perspective supporting the migration from Oracle EBS to a modern cloud-based payroll platform. You will act as a trusted partner to both business and architecture teams leading technical analysis shaping future-state designs and guiding vendor selection while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

Additionally youll work closely with HR payroll SMEs and key stakeholders across digital services architecture and transformation programs. You will lead discovery and design activities develop technology-aligned RFP artefacts and provide solution assessments feasibility insights and integration design to support decision-making across the program.

You will lead the technology workstream through discovery and design phases support documentation of current and future state processes collaborate with architecture and business teams leverage AI-assisted tools for analysis and documentation and contribute to payroll-related BAU initiatives and transformation outcomes.

What do I need

  • Strong experience in Australian payroll systems and processes with deep expertise across payroll operations and compliance.
  • Proven background in Oracle EBS Payroll with the ability to support legacy systems and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience delivering payroll or HR system transformation programs including migration to modern cloud platforms (e.g. Oracle Cloud HCM).
  • Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders across both business (HR Payroll) and technology teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess solutions and provide feasibility insights.
  • Experience working in complex multi-stream transformation environments collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to AI or digital tools to enhance analysis documentation and process mapping.
